Navetta Work & Shop
Navetta is a an old cowhouse/hayhouse at Koski organic farm. It is newly renovated for Work & Shop experience at an authentic Finnish countryside, in a small village of Martois in Mustasaari, Ostrobothnia.
WORK means Himmeli workshops with guidance of Eija Koski. Courses can vary from two hours introductory course into a himmeli world to few days course with deeper undestanding and experiencing of himmeli secret. Organic farmer Kari Koski take visitors to the ryefield and tells how to grow rye. Every himmeli course garantee a straw himmeli, made by you.
At longer visits it is also possible to stay over night at the Koski Farm.
SHOP means that you are able to buy himmelis and all himmeli materials if you decide to make himmeli of your own. In the SHOWROOM, second floor, you are able to see many kinds of himmelis, a real himmeli heaven. Also special requests with individual wishes are all wellcome if you like to have himmeli made by Eija Koski. So, in the Navetta shop it is possible to buy
- himmelis made by Eija Koski
- organic rye straw by farmer Kari Koski
- all the himmeli books of Eija Koski (sold out elsewhere) in Finnish, Swedish, Spanish, English and Japanese
- HimmeliKITs, different models. KIT include cutted straw, threat, needle and pattern instructions to create your own himmeli
